The IMPRS for Genome Science is a graduate program established as a cooperation between the UniÂversity of ³Òö³Ù³Ù¾±²Ô²µ±ð²Ô and several other research instiÂtutions at the ³Òö³Ù³Ù¾±²Ô²µ±ð²Ô Campus, including the Max Planck InstiÂtutes. Our research school aims at qualifying young scientists at the interface between experiÂmental and theoretical disciÂplines in genome science. The students will be able to work in diffeÂrent fields of research, including experiÂmental disciplines like genomics, transcriptoÂmics, proÂteoÂmics, metabolomics, molecular biology, bioÂchemistry, and bioimaging as well as theoÂretical disciplines such as stochastics, bioÂinformatics, theoretical physics, and computational biology. Positions offered are to pursue Ph. D. projects in the areas of the life and computational sciences or related fields.
Requirements:Candidates typically hold an outstanding Master’s (or equivalent) degree in the experiÂmental life sciences (wet lab) or computational / mathematical / bioÂphysical sciences and have an interest in inÂterÂdisciplinary projects. Criteria for admission include academic skills and experience, motivation and commitment, communiÂcation skills, knowledge of the English language, and creativity.
