commencing on 1.10.2026.

Pharmaceutical biotechnology is a key discipline in drug research. As an interdisciplinary subject, it plays an important networking and stimulating role at the High-Tech Campus ³Ò°ù´Çß³ó²¹»å±ð°ù²Ô-²Ñ²¹°ù³Ù¾±²Ô²õ°ù¾±±ð»å.

We are looking for a person with an outstanding track record in the field of pharmaceutical biotechnology who represents a current area of the discipline with translational aspects of therapeutic interventions.

The professorship may focus on the generation and characterization of novel active substances from biogenic sources (also using structural biology, bioinformatics, and AI-based methods), the development of innovative, meaningful 3D cell systems (especially organoids, organ-on-a-chip systems) for translational issues, as well as complex therapeutic interventions such as ATMPs (especially gene and cell therapies). Potential therapeutic areas include inflammatory diseases, oncology, diseases of the CNS or cardiovascular system as well as geriatric diseases.

In teaching, the professorship represents the subject of Pharmaceutical Biology in its entirety both in the Pharmacy State Examination course and in the Bachelor's and Master's courses in Pharmaceutical Sciences. Teaching experience is required. A degree in pharmacy is an advantage, but not a prerequisite for a successful application.

Prerequisites for this position are a university degree, a doctoral degree or a comparable specific qualification, teaching skills at university level, excellent academic achievements, and a productive and promising research program.
