About us

The Biocenter at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universit盲t Munich invites applications for a PhD position within the DFG funded聽Transregional Collaborative Research Center TRR175, under the supervision of PD Dr. Serena Schwenkert (chair molecular plant biology 鈥� Prof. Dr. Dario Leister) The collaborative research project focuses on elucidating the molecular mechanisms of plant acclimation to changing environmental conditions.

Your tasks

The PhD candidate will elucidate the function elucidate of novel transport proteins utilizing molecular biology, protein biochemistry, and advanced 'omics techniques. The work will be carried out in close collaboration with other TRR175 research groups, and findings will be presented at scientific conferences and published in peer-reviewed journals.

Your profile

鈥� 聽聽Master鈥檚 degree in Biology or Biochemistry, or a related field
鈥� 聽聽Experience with molecular laboratory methods and/or data analysis is beneficial
鈥� 聽聽High level of motivation and scientific curiosity
鈥� 聽聽Proficiency in English (both written and spoken)
