for
General Business Administration, with a Focus on Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management

The professorship includes
- representing the fields of entrepreneurship and innovation management, including related areas such as business model innovation, design thinking, lean and open innovation, foresight methods, and intrapreneurship — with a special emphasis on AI and digital transformation in both teaching and applied research
- delivering hands-on, project-based teaching primarily in English, integrating real-world application into the classroom
- employing contemporary, student-centered teaching approaches (e.g., blended learning, challenge-based learning, hackathons, and innovation sprints)
- contributing actively to the Entrepreneurship Centre ROCkET, e.g., by mentoring start-up projects
- supervising student research, including bachelor’s and master’s theses, as well as doctoral work
- developing and maintaining international academic partnerships
- contributing to the ongoing development of academic programs and university governance, as well as in continuing education initiatives
- engaging in (interdisciplinary) third-party-funded projects and contributing to applied research and publication activities
What you bring
- a relevant and completed university degree, preferably in business or a related field (For non-German university degrees, a certificate evaluation issued by the ZAB [Central Office for Foreign Education] must be submitted during the recruitment process for the final assessment of eligibility requirements.)
- demonstrated aptitude for academic research, typically evidenced by the quality of a completed doctorate
- strong didactic and pedagogical skills
- outstanding achievements in the application or development of academic knowledge and methods, demonstrated through at least five years of professional experience following graduation, including a minimum of three years outside the higher education sector
- significant experience in founding or holding a leadership role in a start-up, along with a strong network in the international start-up scene
- hands-on experience with structured innovation processes, ideally in an international context
- excellent proficiency in both English and German, and the ability and willingness to teach in both languages
- a passion for transferring practical experience and methodological expertise to students through teaching and applied research
- a record of publications, experience with third-party funding, and/or involvement in research and transfer projects related to entrepreneurship and innovation management
- a collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for contributing to the development of the academic field and the university
- a civil servant position for life, subject to legal requirements
- the freedom to explore innovative ideas in entrepreneurship and innovation management across teaching, research, and academic service
