Goethe University Frankfurt am Main invites applications for the position of
Professor (W3) in Pharmaceutical Chemistry
at the Faculty of Biochemistry, Chemistry and Pharmacy. This civil servant or public employee position will start on 01.04.2026.
The person to be appointed should be internationally recognised in a current field of Pharmaceutical Chemistry. A licence to practise as a pharmacist (state examination) and existing teaching experience in the field of Pharmaceutical Chemistry are highly desired. The person to be appointed should complement the existing expertise at the Institute of Pharmaceutical Chemistry and have a scientific orientation that allows a connection to the scientific priorities of Goethe University. The willingness to cooperate closely in pharmaceutical research and other experimental disciplines of the Department of Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmacy as well as to participate in existing or planned research networks, in particular in the SGC is desirable ().
The formal hiring requirements are defined in sections 67, 68, and 70 of the Hessian Higher Education Act (Hessisches Hochschulgesetz).
