With the Open Research Knowledge Graph (ORKG), we are working to revolutionize the exchange and use of scientific knowledge in the digital age.

The Technische Informationsbibliothek (TIB) – Leibniz Information Centre for Science and Technology – Program Area D, Open Research Knowledge Graph, is looking to employ a

Your tasks

The TIB is partner in two closely related, EU-funded projects. The GRAPHIA project aims to build the first comprehensive Knowledge Graph in the domain of Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH) that integrates currently disconnected data into a single entry point, leveraging existing infrastructure and data resources. TIB is involved in the definition and implementation of the architecture of the SSH knowledge graph and the necessary interoperability framework to integrate various KGs and other tasks related to the implantation of the SSH KG.

The second project is the LUMEN project, which aims to enhance and broaden the application of the GoTriple platform beyond the domain of Social Sciences and Humanities. The project will drive multidisciplinary cooperation through collaborative platforms and onboard new scientific communities into European Open Science Cloud (EOSC), providing them with the necessary tools. TIB is involved in the development and integration of existing tools and methods supporting the FAIRification of semantic artefacts.

Both projects are interrelated and provide a unique opportunity to work on the advanced topics of semantic web technologies as well as cooperate with partners from all over Europe towards the implementation of the EOSC. The Open Research Knowledge Graph (ORKG) is a service of particular interest to both projects and an additional aim will be to integrate it into the projects as well as advance its capabilities to support scientific knowledge integration, synthesis, and presentation.

Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to

  • Drive the development and application of the Open Research Knowledge Graph,
  • Contribute to ORKG research and development, and be part of an exceptional team of doctoral and postdoctoral researchers as well as research software engineers,
