The following professorship is to be filled in the department of Engineering at the location Koblenz as soon as possible:

Professor (f/m/d)
for Energy-efficient electrical drive systems
(Base Salary: W 2)

Part-time employment is possible.
Your tasks:

• Representation of teaching (in German and English) in the subject areas electrical drive systems, actuators, fundamentals of electrical engineering (alternating current and three-phase current), electrical power engineering and the study programs of the Department of Engineering
• Establishment of a research profile as well as national and international research activities incl. publications
• Networking with regional stakeholders (companies, associations, etc.)
• Participation in academic self-administration

Your profile:

• Professional expertise in the teaching area development and optimization of electrical drive systems (rotating field machines) including energy efficiency, ideally electrical power engineering
• Several years of relevant professional experience, ideally leadership experience
• Enthusiasm for working with young people and their development
• Openness for the further development and implementation of innovative teaching concepts
• Openness to taking on new teaching content within the framework of the long-term, strategic and, if necessary, interdisciplinary further development of the range of courses offered
• High social competence in dealing with students, colleagues and employees
• Good German skills (minimum C1-level) and good English skills

The hiring requirements for professorships result from 搂 49 of the Higher Education Act of Rhineland-Palatinate (HochSchG).
